M J Rutter - World in Flames (I, Immortal #2)

*Contains adult themes
**Review by Susan

At night he calls for her, pleading with her to not forget him, begging her to return safely. Peter aches to hold Amelia again, but she is being held captive with the ruthless Fallen leader, Cornelius. Will he get her back, will they ever get to have the happy ever after the Angels had promised them? As the distance between them grows their chances are slipping through their fingers.

The follow on book from "I, Immortal - book 1" is equally as good (if not better!). The continuation of the love, pain and destruction of the fallen angels versus the Humangels. Will good versus evil?

------------------------------
I fell for you the first time I ever laid eyes on you, that was real. My heart aching to hold you every day for the last few months, that was real. The fear I have inside that I've lost you forever, that is also real. This isn't a fairy-tale, Amelia, the lain and the hurting are far from the happy ending I had envisioned...
------------------------------

My heart broke for poor Amelia who in her best efforts to do what was right for her maternal instinct nearly pushed her husband away...but no one took the time to believe her or understand. And the cost for her was losing what she tried to protect in the first place. Would Peter be able to find her before it was too late and lead the life they deserved now they finally seemed to have a chance at happiness?

I can't put into words how these two books have dragged me right back into paranormal reads - I simply adored it. Some amazing writing. Another astounding 5* book!

M J Rutter - I, Immortal (I, Immortal #1)

**Review by Susan

Would you know one if you passed them on the street? They could be your neighbor, your friend or colleague and you wouldn’t know. They look like us, love like us and even have children like us, but they don’t age and they’ll never die, imagine the possibilities.

I didn't know what to expect from this book besides Melissa telling me 'Angels' but what I found was just incredible. A magical but heartfelt story of Angels (Humangels), wars, fallen angels, evil, friendship and most importantly; Love.

------------------------------
"The embrace made me spark again and feel so alive. How could I refuse that? After all, who was I to interfere with destiny? If it was written in our stars then I would welcome it..."
------------------------------

The book ends with Amelia taking the place of her beloved Peter, despite his best efforts. But could they find her? I can't wait to read and review book two of "I, Immortal"... I need to know that they get the future we glimpsed of. An incredible Five star read! Please go one click now.

Kevin D'Onofrio - The Murderer's Smile

*Contains adult themes
**Review by Stacey

The Evidence Tells the Story. But…What if the Evidence Is a Lie?

As the top-rated news anchor in all of Dallas, Tony Michaels has his smiling face on billboards all over the Dallas Metroplex which proclaim him to be "The Most Trusted Man in Texas." But when the dismembered bodies of his wife and son are found in his backyard, he is arrested and the media dub him "The Anchor of Death." Tony insists on his innocence, but the evidence is stacked heavily against him and the prosecution believes he has motive. Facing the death sentence and now haunted by disturbing nightmares, Tony receives an unusual visit and enlists the help of friend and private investigator Ryan Samuels. Now it is up to Samuels to find out anything the police missed in their investigation that can prove his friend's innocence and save him from the lethal injection.

In The Murderer's Smile we meet Tony Michaels who is the top news anchor in Dallas. The book begins with him in court where he is on trial for the murder of his family. The story then skips back to when he was in college and a top football player, when he first met his wife Katherine, and how their life panned out. Tony cheated on his wife one night because she didn't want to move in order to further his career, but his wife forgave him. Things then got tough for them again and he cheated again, but this time it panned out into a full blown affair with a girl called Angelique.

The story then jumps back to the present day where Angelique and Tony really fell for each other, with Tony planning on divorcing his wife and moving away and starting afresh with Angelique. The evening before he decided to tell her, he had way too much to drink and passed out when he got home, awakening the next day to find his family gone; though he thought they had just gone out for the day and he rushed off to work without a second thought.

He gets a visit from the police at work the same day, telling him that his pregnant wife and his son had been murdered, with the dismembered remains found in the garden. Obviously everything points to him and he is taken into custody and the story continues with his trial.

I was really pulled in by this book though I found it a little rushed in places, I really wanted to find out who the murderer was and I thought it was someone else as the clues pushed me right off track, so Kevin did a good job of keeping the true killer hidden until near the end - someone who it never occurred to me to be. The detail of the murders is a bit gruesome and quite sensitive (just a warning) but it did tie in with the story really well. Four out of five stars from me for this one. A recommended read if you like a good crime mystery.

Becca Fitzpatrick - Black Ice

*Contains adult themes
**Review by Stacey

Britt Pfeiffer has never been that adventurous, but that's about to change. Wanting to impress her ex-boyfriend, Britt convinces best friend, Korbie, to take a trekking trip with her. But when a freak storm leaves the girls stranded they seek shelter in a cabin, where they find two knights in shining armour. Or so they think.

Britt quickly realises that the girls need to get off the mountain, fast. In exchange for her life, she is forced to guide the boys down, and as they set out on a harrowing journey through the cold and snow, Britt realises the only way to escape with her life is to pretend she is on their side. But is gorgeous, sexy Mason an enemy or an ally? Tension mounts, and it's only a matter of time before things turn deadly . . .

Dark and adrenaline-filled, Black Ice will have you on the edge of your seat right until the final twist.

I was first intrigued by this book as I haven't read that many thrillers recently and the blurb sounded like my kind of book.

The beginning of the book is a flash back to an event that happened a year ago, which immediately led me to think that Britt's trip would have something sinister happen. Britt has convinced her best friend Korbie to go on a mountain trekking trip for their spring break, whilst their other friends are sunning in Hawaii. They will be staying at Korbie's parents cabin (Idlewild) in the Teton range but her parents have sent Britt's ex, Calvin, to 'supervise', with Korbie's boyfriend set to join them too.

On the way to the Teton's, Britt & Korbie run into a mega snow storm and become stranded. After the snow gets worse and doesn't clear they decide to go for help and come across a cabin with two inhabitants who offer up their help. To Britt's surprise, one of them is someone she has recently come in contact with. The girls take up their offer of help and enter the cabin, and that's when it starts to go awry. Mason (also known as Ace) and Shaun are not what they first seemed and in fact are on the run from someone, so knowing the girls have been to the Tetons before they force them into helping them off the mountain without being caught - but in fact Korbie is left behind. During the course of the expedition, Britt discovers lots of hidden secrets and becomes ever more scared for her life. She is praying that Calvin will realise they are missing and come looking for them. As the turn of events unfold, Shaun losing his life, and Britt developing feelings for Mason (who is in fact someone completely different) Britt eventually gets away from Mason and finds her way to Idlewild where she is so glad to find Calvin & Korbie. At Idlewild, everything that Britt has discovered finally comes to a head and she finds out exactly what happened on the mountain the year before and whodunnit...

I must say, I  found the story a little far-fetched in places as I couldn't understand how someone under the circumstances that Britt was, could fall in love with someone she thought to be a killer. I did see a softer side to Mason though and I had an inkling who the killer was before it was revealed so it wasn't so much of a shocker to me. Though I found it hard to connect with in places, it was definitely full of drama and it kept me hanging on to find out what happened to the characters. I have to say the prologue was the part I enjoyed the most though. 3 of 5 stars for me.

------------------------------
"I'm thinking about you.". I sighed happily, running my hand over his chest. Only the lightest scars from that night remained. I kissed them softly. To me they weren't imperfections, but a vivid reminder of that dark night we'd shared together. After the darkness comes the light.

Keren Hughes - Ready To Love Again

*Contains adult themes
**Review by Susan

For Alyssa Young, life has never been easy. But the hardest thing of all was two years ago when her husband Ethan committed suicide…

Moving town was her only option, she had to get out of the town where she grew up and all the buildings and people reminded her of what she had lost.

She found a new job at Emerging Butterfly Publishing House and that was where she met editor, Chase Williams.

Although she has no romantic interest in him, he pursues her…

Of course he's good looking. He's also smart, funny, and she loves spending time with him. But Alyssa can't put the past to rest.

He wants Alyssa to open up to him and fall in love with him the way he fell for her the moment he met her.

Can Chase convince Alyssa that the time is right and she’s ready to love again?

The story of Lys (Alyssa) setting up a new home, or rather temporary stop gap. Needless to say, one of her shopping trips for bare essentials would lead her someone who would become an integral part of her new life. Clark. Their friendship would grow and he would help her immeasurably in her new start.
But what was she running from? Plagued by nightmares we learn her heartbreaking story. A young widow escaping the pitying glares of her old life. Her husband had been diagnosed with ALS and as he quickly deteriorated , he would take matters into his own hands...

------------------------------
"Lys, you were my best friend, my soul-mate and so much more. I believe we'll see each other again someday...but for now, I am out of time and goodbyes..."
------------------------------

Lys's heartbreak was apparent and had me sobbing like a baby. As she reflected on her life with him, from how they met, to their wedding and plans for their future that would never happen. It was devastating. **warning tissues needed**

But as Lys tries to move on with her life, a new job, would dredge up feelings for someone she hadn't expected. But an old friend would make her question how long she should really be grieving and whether she should be allowed to move on...

------------------------------
"...I was lost without Ethan and just when I thought maybe I had found someone I could move in with, Justine had shown me I was wrong."
------------------------------

But besides the tears, and snotty tissues I surrounded myself in...jeez it was hot. Keren Hughes was the cause of cold showers, as well as a box or two of tissues ;)

But with an incredible story, which was close to my heart as my dad had MND so I think this made this read all the more emotional. I fell in love with all the characters and it was beautifully written. Steam meter was fit to burst too. It really was one of these books that will stay with me. For that very reason it's a definite five star read.

------------------------------
"...will I ever truly be ready to love again?"

------------------------------
"I don't know what my life would be without you in it and I never want to find out. We were apart for too long and I will never let you go again..."
------------------------------

As the pair let go of the past they grow into their future happiness together. From the romance, whole hearted love, and incredible bond the pair had through thick and thin just blew me away. I kept waiting for something to go wrong but it never did. They truly were made for one another...

------------------------------
"My first love is also my last love....we have that forever kind of love"

A sweet, romantic, sexy story of teenage sweethearts and their new found love and plans for one another. A brilliant and easy read. Four star rating and I can't wait to read the next in this series!

Jordana Mia Lezamy - Exotic Racing Crusader (Exotic Racers #1)

*Contains adult themes
**Review by Stacey

EXOTIC CARS MEET A LOVE STORY

"NOTHING IN LIFE IS A COINCIDENCE"
It was my special day, an occasion to celebrate my life, when my entire future was rewritten and set on a new course with one look in his eyes.

Or was this always part of the destiny that I believed I could not run from?

As I watched him at the ILLEGAL STREET RACING SHOW I never planned on attending – I was certain of one thing about his speed and velocity behind a wheel of a car:

ONLY GOD is capable of catching him when he races.

The moment we met, there was no looking back at a past life that led me down a darkened and lonely road any longer.

Before him I had never dated anyone. Before him I lead a normal good-girl life.

With him my PLUS SIZE CURVES and unique facial features are loved and adored beyond a passionate and lustful extent.

Beside him I became queen to the leader of an EXOTIC CARS RACING EMPIRE.

As fate would have it, regrets collected like old friends ready to relive both our darkest moments.

It’s always darkest before the dawn, but to see the sunrise, there are SEVEN words of HIS racing team pledge barricading the way at the end of the finish line:

Oath
Griffin
Blood
Hypersonic
Racers
Breakneck
League

Cauterized words onto his soul that will decide if he is either a villain or a savior.

The ultimate sacrifice of defying his most cardinal law for me must be decided by him alone.

Which will he choose?

Which will he let go of?

Which means more?

This is our journey. This is where our racing legacy with fast cars begin.

***Contemporary, Erotica, New Adult, Romance : Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.****

When I was offered the chance to read this book, I was sucked in by the blurb - fast modified cars (I'm an F1/Fast & Furious fan and hubby used to modify), romance, secrets and drama - what's not to love?

Kaidence is a big girl (though she is happy with it) with beautiful unique eyes, she was bullied at school, and she's been hurt by males in the past so she had come to the conclusion that she was never going to find Mr Right, even though it made her sad to see those around her in love - her mum & dad, her sister Natalia & husband Clark. She owns the Glacial ice cream Parlor which is her life & soul, it gets her through the days. It is coming up to her 26th birthday and she doesn't really want a big fuss but Clark & Natalia have insisted that she go to her first illegal street race  and they have organised a party afterwards. Kai's best friends Shiloh & Neelo attend too.

At the race and after party, Kaidence sets eyes on Titan - the leader of the Griffin Racing League and owner of Titan's Chariots, the largest super/hypercar dealership in the world. He is immediately attracted to her, and though Kai finds him attractive, she doesn't want a relationship, but she is drawn to him. Shiloh & Neelo find new relationships within the League too. Obviously Kai & Titan's is the focus, and it is INTENSE. Kai is a virgin when they meet, so Titan is the only one, and will be the only one, after they bind their souls. She belongs to him for life, and nobody else.

------------------------------
"From this moment on, I want you to willingly tie your soul with mine. It will be binding." He asks with a seductive voice that feels as if it bites my skin, claiming me in the most violent way.
------------------------------

I can't say a lot without giving too much away but through the story we see all the relationships develop in their own special way. That is, until someone threatens to destroy Titan, the League, and his relationship with Kai. The mystery person will do anything to get what he wants even if it destroys lives in the process, and he does this through a series of notes until he takes things to another level. Kai can't take any more of Titan's secretiveness and ends their relationship but Titan is also someone who will do anything to get want he wants and he wins her back - they belong together and the reason why is amazing.

------------------------------
"You can't run from destiny, all roads lead to the same destination," my mom whispers to me again, holding me tighter against her side.
------------------------------

The mystery person doesn't stop though and after the discovery of who it is (who turns out to be someone I didn't really expect!), they decide to take each other on in a race which almost ends in tragedy. Although I was a bit hit & miss with Titan's personality, I was praying for their happy ending.

I do love the character development in the story, and Jordana's descriptive writing is beautiful; from scenery, to food, to cars, to sexual scenes (which was balanced through the story - there is a lot going on at times but it all blends well). I also like the way it goes to other League Members POV at times as well. It had me hooked throughout, it made me gasp, it made me laugh, it made me cry too, so I have to give it five stars and I'm one clicking the rest of the series when they are released - it's one of the best books I've read recently (I could have written so much more to this review but you will have to read it to find out why I love it so!).

LA Cotton - Salvation and Secrets (Chastity Falls #2)

*Contains adult themes
**Review by Susan

Chastity Falls was supposed to be Ana Parry’s fresh start. But what started as her salvation soon became her undoing.

Four months after losing the very thing that gave her reason again, Ana is back at Chastity Falls. Holding on by a thread and trying hard to forget about Jackson isn’t easy when she’s determined to uncover the Donohue’s biggest secrets.

Jackson Pierce knew he was playing with fire when he pursued the girl with pain in her eyes. But there was something about her and he just had to know more.

Walking away from Ana was the hardest thing he’s ever done, and four months on, he refuses to forget. He can’t. Rising tensions with Reibeckitt Valley mean Ana is still in harm’s way and, this time, Jackson is determined to protect her—at all costs.

Loyalty drove them apart, but will secrets piece them back together? Or tear them apart for good?

Salvation will be earned, secrets will be unveiled. Welcome to Chastity Falls.

I was eagerly awaiting the second book in the Chastity Falls Series by LA Cotton and it didn't disappoint.

The relationship between Jackson and Ana tense after returning for their second year. Despite their best efforts of avoiding one another they would be pushed together in more respects than one. It didn't make it any easier to read.

------------------------------
"Jackson didn't look over in my direction...the way he positioned himself to have his back to me burned through me like acid on an open wound."
------------------------------

Ana seemed like like an empty shell of herself and found herself struggling emotionally. But would Jackson worry she would resort to what she did all those years ago?

The family alliance is what keeps Jackson and Ana apart but how long for?  With Ana on a research mission will she discover something she shouldn't? God I was on tender hooks!

------------------------------
"I'd fallen for Jackson Pierce...and become an enemy of his family. Did that make me an enemy of his enemies as well?"
------------------------------

What I thought was going to be a typical "freshman/college" romance with book 1 is far from it.
Sex, drugs, violence, family allegiances, secrets, love and heartbreak. It has it all!

*I would warn that there is reference to self harm*

------------------------------
"I was a broken girl trying to hold it together every single minute of every single day.
It was exhausting."
------------------------------

Ana has grown so much from the first book and I can't wait to see where her and Jackson's relationship will go. Will Jackson succeed in causing the destruction someone caused him many years ago? I really enjoyed this book and it got my reading mojo back!
Can't wait to read more from LA Cotton and this incredible refreshing series.

Eden Elsworth - Spawn of Satan (Rowena, Paranormal Investigator #2)

*Contains adult themes
**Review by Susan

Rowena’s life isn’t getting any easier…
She’s found out who her father is, got herself stuck with an angel, and now she’s got a demon out for her blood. Oh, and then there’s all the siblings she never knew she had.
As her life gets increasingly weird, she finds herself surrounded by sexy men. It should be a dream come true.
Fighting her way through her troubles, she comes face-to-face with those she’d rather have never met.
On the bright side, her friend Stephen seems to have met Mr Right.

Rowena was a brilliant starter point but a short story...so I enjoyed getting my teeth into the next story which seemed to have some more depth and detail about Rowena, her heritage and generally more of her boys ;)

Upon getting unwanted attention from her new found status as the daughter of Satan (morning star) and her activity "beyond the veil" causes a bit of a stir. So much so, her father designates a demon to aid her in her business and personal life. So this lucky girl doesn't just have an angel by her side but a demon too! And not the horrid vision you're thinking of either ;)

The story of how she continues her role as a paranormal investigator, deals with her "ticking body clock that the Angel was sent to help with", her sometimes troubled relationship with her father she didn't know existed and her new found bodyguard demon she's been a busy girl!

And did I mention that Rowena is one of the funniest ladies I know? Her humour throughout the book has me in kinks.

This isn't a genre I have honestly read before but I must say it fascinated me...death, rebirth, angels, demons, afterlife and all. It really did give me food for thought but the book flowed brilliantly and was highly amusing....not forgetting the hotness....I can't not mention the steamy threesomes can I?! Wow....steam meter, once again blown.

Another brilliant read by the talented Eden Elsworth.

C J Fallowfield - The Temptress

*Contains adult themes
**Review by Susan

There’s just something about a French accent, something that conjures images of romance, sex and passion. There’s a reason French is called ‘the language of love.’

Lulu McQueen runs an exclusive honeytrap agency, to test the fidelity of rich men for their suspicious partners. While her business flourishes and her track record in the field remains unbroken, earning her the nickname of The Temptress, her personal life isn’t so successful.

A trip to Paris, years ago, led to the most erotic encounter of her life with Luc, a charismatic, dominant, irresistible Frenchman. For one night she experienced bliss on a scale she’d never encountered and fled in the morning, ashamed of herself, but her Parisian one night stand was burned into her memories and no one since had compared.

With no one available on short notice, Lulu steps in to lure Mrs. Le Grand’s rich husband, for an extortionately high fee. Lulu’s in for the shock of her life when she finds her mark at the hotel bar. Luc Le Grand still has a face and body to make Adonis weep. He exudes confidence, masculinity and raw sex appeal.

The question now isn’t whether Lulu can tempt him, but whether she can resist him, retain her reputation and secure her fee, or whether she’ll fall under Mr. Le Grand’s spell. Again.

The Temptress, Lulu McQueen is a strong, confident and successful young woman who has a thriving business, Sweet Temptations. But as we progress through the book we are taken on a trip down memory lane with Lulu. How she despite trying to find someone suitable to come into her life, as well as her home. But no one seems to ever reach that standard.

A hen weekend to Paris would find a man, Luc that would be the cause of her unrest. How could anyone compare to the Frenchman...

------------------------------
"...takes what he wants, excels at what he does and never fails to live up to his promises..."
------------------------------

He's pretty hot. And he's got it all! Luc comes back into her life after being hired by a horrid woman. Only to be confronted by the one night stand Lulu had never given up on all those years ago. No one lived up to him. Would anyone?

------------------------------
"My cravings for her ran so deep the Grand Canyon would be displaced as a natural wonder of the world."
------------------------------

The struggle through their relationship, Lulu letting him into her life and heart was an incredible journey. I was sceptical that I knew where this story would go...but the twists and turns had me hooked. The passion, love and boisterousness of all the characters was amazing.

------------------------------
"I'll love you all with a fire more intense  than the ninth circle of hell...I didn't even know I was capable of such intense feelings or emotions...You stole my heart and it has been missing ever since."
------------------------------

Five out of five story. A definite page turner and I can't wait to read more from C J Fallowfield (this was my first of her books!).

Krissy V - Till Death Us Do Part

*Contains adult themes
**Review by Susan

When Tasha marries the man of her dreams she wants him to be her forever. He loves her, protects her and makes her laugh...

Until they actually get married.

Follow along as she lives through her wedding vows from For Better or For Worse, then on to In Sickness and In Health and finally see if she makes ti to To Love and To Cherish.

The path of true love never runs smooth and that is the case for Tasha. However, this is a love story and when life throws her a curveball she has to decide whether to catch it.........or run away from it.

A little warning – there will be big, fat, ugly tears. There will be shouting at the book. There will be heart fluttering moments. If that’s what you like in a book, then dive on in and read Tasha’s story about how the perfect love can go horribly wrong.

This trilogy (now turned into one book) has been something I've been meaning to read since first joining the book world last summer. Despite only seeing the trailer for the book a few months ago I jumped at the chance to BETA read the three books being combined.

I don't know where to start because the story is faultless. It's brilliantly written and my heart ached for Natasha as she got married and her life spiralled as her new husband slowly turned against her. Showing Krissy V's talent at writing about the sensitive subject of domestic abuse makes for a hard read but it makes Natasha's survival sorry all the more touching. The journey she takes finding herself, which was lost on her violent husband without her realising it earlier than we know. The relationships and support she has gets her through this awful period in her life but one particular person, Caleb would be her saviour. But could she let him in?  After all the abuse at the hands of Felix, can she ever let another man touch her or give away that part of her heart again?

I flew through the trilogy book in two days because I couldn't actually put it down. Finding a suitable place to stop wasn't easy because I loved it.

We learn more about Felix and his demons, and how he sets her free of his clutches, and watching Natasha build her life back up. New relationships, trust, love and support. I would highly recommend you read this...I can't fault it. Definitely one of my best reads of 2015 so far!

Imagine having it all, fame, fortune, a hunky fiancĂ© and on top of that, to be adored by millions. Imagine how it would feel to have it all blow up in your face by way of public humiliation, what would you do? Waiting by the car stands Hunter Pearson, the limo driver. As his boss and world famous pop star, Sydney Marx runs towards him, he has no idea what has happened. She tells him she needs to get away and he just drives. She pleads with him to take her away from everything just for a few days and eventually he gives in, taking her to his home. A farm in Up-State New York where his daughter, Callie, lives with his parents. Bringing home visitors is new for loner, Hunter, and when that one visitor is a famous pop star, he is surprised by his family's reaction to her. They adore her and accept her into their home. Hunter is not exactly the host of the year and Sydney has more issues than he would care to know about. Will they find a common ground, or will it all end in fireworks?

Sydney is a young girl thrust into the spotlight of fame and fortune and is thrown the life to go with it. But when those around her at her peak fail her in the worst possible ways she turns to someone we least expect. He picks up the pieces and puts her back together...in more ways than one. A trip with Hunter back to his family home makes Sydney realise what she never has and how much this was more valuable than any star career. But could they survive the pressure fame threw at the new pair? When Hunter faces a heartbreak we see roles reverse and Sydney was the one to care for him.To mend not just Hunter but her new family. Simply beautiful. An incredible story, about love, loss, self recognition and goodbyes. A tear jerker that I was a bubbling mess at but well worth the ending. Really can't recommend this book more. I truly adored it from the first page, to the last. Melissa's writing never fails to mesmerise me. 5* rating for a 5* book.

Kristina Canady - Irrevocable Midnight (The Lunar Eclipse Series #3)

***Intended for Adults 18+ for mature content. This is not a stand-alone and it is recommended that you read the series in order.

Freedom is something that is easily taken for granted, many never knowing what they have until it is stripped away. But not all hope is lost when second chances are given. As Sasha struggles to break free from her captivity to get back to the life she was seized from; she risks it all, including her precious humanity. Love has become worth fighting for, even if that means giving up everything that she is.
The ups and downs of love can be as rocky as the shores, but as the tides turn, Etienne finds that no matter how turbulent the seas, he’s not letting anything stand in the way of his new purpose in life; he must save Sasha, even if it means saving her from herself.
The saga continues as Sasha and Etienne are propelled forward through new family ties and into the line of fire of the most powerful moon of the year, the blood moon. As the cataclysm of the lunar eclipse unfolds, love finds a way to grow anew in the wake of dominant forces moving at a catastrophic speed.

So there is so much going on in this book but a lot of answers after the following the first two books so closely. So it will be hard making this one spoiler free!
All I can say is that Sasha is safe, loved and reunited with her children at a family event when she realises Etienne's true worth and background when meeting the parents. But would the event be all it seemed or be the beginning of something much bigger for the pair.

------------------------------
"For being so close to the love of my life, I have never felt further away."
------------------------------

Sasha is left emotionally scarred after her bad experience at the hands of Marcos and struggles through her fear returning to the life she had. Turning on the aspects of her life she shut down to keep herself intact. This made her so endearing to me. I can't put into words how strong Sasha is and how dearly I love this character. Etienne at her side the whole way. Along with their friends and family to help her, guide her and build her powers back to what they were and show her more of her abilities.

------------------------------
"I choose to love every aspect of you, darkest parts included. And you are absolutely perfect just the way you are. So, shut that pretty little mouth of yours and let me in so that our demons may play together in a harmonious symphony of passion..."
------------------------------

With more excitement towards the end of the book, I can only imagine where part 4 of the Lunar Eclipse Series will go but I am so excited for it. It can't come soon enough!
By far, my favourite book of the series and I read it in less than a day because I simply couldn't put it down. Kristina Canady has done it again. A truly well deserved five star read.
