M.B. Feeney - Just Like in the Movies (A novella)

*Review by Susan

Ava Jones has settled for a life that she’s not sure she wants anymore, but won’t admit it. Her best friend, Erica Davidson talks her into taking a break on the Isle of Wight. Her days on the island are spent thinking things through, and arguing with Morgan whom she hates on principal.

Is it so wrong for her to want a life that follows the script of a honest to God romance film?

Ava with the company of her good friend Erica head for a beach holiday at the Isle of White for ten days. During this time, she would find herself, find comfort in being alone as well as realising that the long term relationship she was in wasn't making her happy anymore.

But between the handsome stranger she meets whilst away - who truthfully grates on Ava initially, and the continual worry about her old life and Marcus, she loses sight of grabbing an opportunity. Of taking a chance...

------------------------------
Having the time and space to myself allowed me to realise how many changes I needed to make in my life. As hard as that was, I think that was the start.
------------------------------

A heartwarming novella of choices, chances, happiness and love, I truly fell in love with this novella. I urge you to read it! A brilliant, short, summer read!

------------------------------
Sometimes life takes a new direction out of nowhere, just like in the movies.

LA Cotton - Tribulation and Truths (Chastity Falls #3)

*Contains adult themes
**Review by Susan & Stacey

When Ana revealed her suspicions to Jackson about the circumstances surrounding his father’s death, she never expected it to be the catalyst for a series of events that could change everything. It was supposed to save him, not push him away. But now Ana is left watching the person she loves more than anything, lose himself to vengeance.

Jackson has spent most of his life loyal to the man he calls Uncle. But since learning that Marcus Donohue might have been responsible for the death of his father, Jackson is consumed with the need for revenge. Even if it means hurting the people he loves, and going against everything he believes in, to uncover what happened.

Will the truth finally set Jackson free or will it ruin his last chance at happiness with Ana… and a life out from under the shadows of the Donohues?

Tribulations will be overcome, truths will be revealed. Welcome to Chastity Falls.

Susan
The third installment of Ana and Jackson, picking right up where we left off in book two. We see the outcome of Jackson's decision to get closer to the group of men for more knowledge not only of his father. But the details surrounding his death. He needed evidence.

------------------------------
Since telling Jackson about the evidence pointing to the possibility that Marcus killed his dad, he had changed.  He'd become obsessed with bringing Marcus down.  And the best way to do that...was from the inside.
------------------------------

But with the support of Dennis and Ana, he kept being told to unburden himself with what her was dealing with. With Jackson and Ana's relationship deepening in one sense, but also struggling in others.

------------------------------
She has your back; you don't have to shoulder this alone.  You have her. Me. We're like one big screwed-up happy family.
------------------------------

With Marcus bringing Jackson into the "Irish Mob", Jackson and Ana spend more time apart as he travels frequently to meet the boss, he would surely meet. Once best friends with his father and Marcus. But along with his other responsibilities at Chastity Falls, his responsibilities were growing as he stepped up to what was expected of him.

------------------------------
Don't ever be scared of me. No matter what happens, what trials we face, know one thing. I'd lay down my life for you, Savanah Parry.
...Like a foreboding prophecy, his words haunted me.
------------------------------

Ana struggled to understand Jackson and the grief he was going through but when new evidence comes to light, she understood. She felt his pain and longing for revenge. But what cost would that come at?

------------------------------
I'd finally realised Jackson needed closure. He needed to lay his past to rest. One way or another, Jackson needed to cut loose his ties to the Donohue's.
------------------------------

Jackson pushes those closest to him away...and this broke my heart. Not to mention Ana's. Although he loves her dearly, he knows he needs to do this for himself. To finally lay the past behind him. But Ana felt more dejected than ever.

------------------------------
After everything we'd been through, we were supposed to face this together, and I really thought he was letting me in, but all he has been doing was preparing to push me out.
------------------------------

But I don't want to say too much more....because I want you all to go buy and read this incredible book (and series!) because the characters are just brilliant. I think I feel a little maternal for Ana and Jackson as they have both grown so much despite all the obstacles in their way. This book had me hooked from the first page until the last. But, talking of the last page....LA Cotton?! What are you doing to me!? I need the next book now please!

------------------------------
The delicate band was so much more than just a bracelet. It was our story. Two lives entwined into one.  Without its counterpart, there was no complete loop, no infinity symbol, just a broken link.
------------------------------

Stacey
I loved this third installment to the Chastity Falls series (I would say final, but it's not - exciting!), so much so that at around 80% I didn't want to read any more because I didn't want it to end! But read it I did as I was still dying to know how it ended, if Jax & Ana got their HEA.

------------------------------
Even in amongst the crazy, there would always be us. I had to hold onto that. I had to.
------------------------------

As previously, the passion between Jax & Ana is palpable and when they were apart I was just itching for them to be together as they were both hurting so much.

------------------------------
He was reaching out and clinging on for dear life. And I could be his buoy. I wouldn't let him drown.
------------------------------

------------------------------
"Make me feel, Ana. I need you to make me feel."
------------------------------

Also some other unexpected relationship surprises took place.

There was definitely a lot of tribulations in this book that made me curse and gasp out loud (making hubby jump!).

------------------------------
Home was with the person you loved. The person you loved more than life. It was the guy sitting in front of me with a defeated look on his face. A guy who had already made his decision.
------------------------------

I'm so glad the truth finally came out for everyone and that certain people got their comeuppance. LA did manage to keep me guessing with a few things too.

A definite 5 star read from LA and I just cannot wait for part 4!

Kristen Strassel - No Strings Attached (The Escort #1)

*Contains adult themes
**Review by Stacey

Leah Godfrey has almost everything she could ask for—
She’s got an interior design business with an A-list clientele, a weekly spot on a national morning TV show, and a great daughter—but she doesn’t have a date for her twentieth high school reunion. It wouldn’t be a big deal, but her ex-husband was her high school sweetheart, and now he’s married to the slut Leah caught him with in bed. She won’t let the biggest failure of her life overshadow her success.

When her best friend suggests she hire a date, Leah thinks the idea is scandalous. But for one weekend, she wants to forget her mistakes and pretend she has everything her ex took away from her.
Jagger Holiday makes women’s fantasies come true—
But working as a male escort leaves him feeling empty. He turns to photography to fill the void. When Jagger gets a call from a lonely single mom who needs the same thing he does, he wants more. He wants her.

Leah and Jagger have no problem convincing everyone at the reunion they’re together. She should’ve known better than to think there’d be no strings attached.

After all, he’s a professional.

In No Strings Attached we meet Leah and her best friend Kari currently in the throes of discussing about their high school reunion. Leah wants to bring a date as she feels she needs to prove something to her ex husband Rich, and his new wife Shelley who Leah actually caught in bed together. Leah has made a new life for herself as a well known interior designer to the stars, she has her daughter Raven, but she still feels like there is something missing - a man.

Kari introduces Leah to the escort agency that she uses, and persuades Leah to book an escort for the reunion weekend. Leah reluctantly agrees, but when she spots Jagger Holiday, she is convinced... Jagger has a rule that he doesn't kiss or form an emotional connection with his clients, but all of his rules are broken when he meets Leah for the first time. Through Kristen's writing, the energy between them is palpable and I was immediately rooting for them to get it together properly!

------------------------------
What really got me was when he leaned forward, the light shining in his eyes when he talked about his photography. There was a vulnerability there, and a sadness. Hia enthusiasm bubbled over, and that was the part of him that really turned me on.
------------------------------

This is hard for Jagger as he has built up walls around himself as he always loses those he cares about. Pretty much like Leah has too so it feels like fate brought them together.

------------------------------
"I don't try," he snapped, sitting up and raking his hand through his hair. I lay beside him, shell-shocked. This guy had built an alligator infested moat around his heart. For the first time, I realized how lonely he must be.
------------------------------

The weekend of the reunion arrives and Leah can't wait to see Jagger again and have him on her arm - and in her bed! Well what can I say - Jagger is amazing and the passion between them is incredible, they are both so sensual. An argument ensues when Leah bumps into Rich and all of both Leah & Jagger's walls start breaking down. Neither want the amazing weekend to end but end it must and they part on sad terms for what they believe is the last time. Could they be falling in love with one another?

------------------------------
"You're going to make mistakes and I'm going to make mistakes. All we can do is try."
------------------------------

------------------------------
She was so quickly becoming my shelter, but she needed the same things from me. And I thought I had no limits. It wasn't one of those times we stopped and discussed our hard limits and safewords because we'd already crossed that line. She'd tattooed herself on my soul."
------------------------------

Jagger and Leah do meet again but not under the circumstances they would have wanted - and I must say although I suspected something was going to happen to Leah, I wasn't expecting that so Kristen surprised me with the ending!

------------------------------
Before I had a chance to say anything else, Jagger met my lips in the softest kiss. Slow and deep, it said everything we didn't have to. If all he ever did was kiss me, I'd be a happy woman.
------------------------------

I really enjoyed this, it was an easy read with 'real' characters that could be relatable to the right person. I always like a story where there is the POV from both main characters throughout so we can grasp how they are both feeling and that was great with this book. I can't wait to see what's in store next for Leah and Jagger - 4.5* from me!

Sometimes though, if you’re not quick enough, fate will step in and intervene, however traumatic the outcome may be...

Follow Cassie on her emotional journey along with all the twists and turns of fate and destiny!

When a book hits you so hard that you ache turning every page and feel the pain the characters do, you know the author has done a brilliant job. Krissy V has once again astounded me. My One Regret is simply magnificent.

The story of Cassie - a 16 year old high school student from Newquay in Cornwall. A good friend, daughter and student. But meeting David, a friends cousin from Bristol would change Cassie's life forever.

------------------------------
I can feel the fight leaving leaving me and I am finally ready to accept whatever fate has in store for me.
------------------------------

The mentality of the perpetrator was chilling and so well portrayed.  I hated him with every ounce of worth.

------------------------------
Babe, I'm going to finish what I started tonight.  You won't know when, but you WILL see me again.
------------------------------

Cassie's best friend, would be by her side. Listen and simply be there for her. But upon the next meet with the offender, David she would insist on things going further. For Cassie's own peace of mind if nothing else. The pair had a bond that was unbreakable.

------------------------------
It's at this moment that I decide that I will protest Cassie and keep her away from guys.  She doesn't need them in her life right now.
------------------------------

When the torment of David taking advantage of Cassie again, she finds herself seeking escape. In any which way. Much to the utter devastation of all her friends and family.

But with a love interest striking up with Jordan, the future keeps the pair apart a little longer while they both settle themselves into careers. Time would pass before they come back into one another's lives. But fear that both of them may have moved on would play on both their minds. Would the same feelings still be there?

------------------------------
I know everyone says you never forget your first love and I can honestly say that it's true...I don't regret anything about my life ...Jordan is my one regret in life.
------------------------------

But Cassie's heartbreak would not be over, as she loses another vital piece of her heart. And her return home would lead her, not only to her first love, but also a threat from her past. One she very much wanted to forget.

------------------------------
I lay there and hope that what happened with David won't affect my feelings for Jordan...all I want to do is to go through one day without something triggering a memory and then I want to wake up one day and believe that it never happened.
------------------------------

As Cassie comes to term with massive life changing events, her friends, family and Jordan all support her. No matter how far she pushes them away.

------------------------------
No regrets remember. We are the people we are today because of that time we spent apart. We never really let each other go, our hearts were always searching for each other and we were never far from each other's minds.
------------------------------

I don't want to say too much more...other than please buy this book.
It breaks your heart, then slowly pieces it back together. A beautiful journey of surviving, healing and rebuilding after some of the most traumatic moments one person can handle. I can't praise this book enough, only to say that it will forever remain in my heart and Krissy V has once again blown me away.

C J Fallowfield - 31 Days of Winter (31 Days #1)

*Contains adult themes
**Review by Susan

Containing sizzling scenes as well as romance, intrigue and humour, the 31 Days duology contains adult themes and is suitable for the over 18’s only.

What would you do if everything you thought you knew about your relationship turned out to be a lie? If your boss made you dread going to work each morning, despite the fact that you enjoyed what you did? If you had a dream that you'd never followed because you were scared of change?

Ellie Baxter is a 26 year old Senior Editor in a Publishing firm, whose relationship is stagnant and she feels unfulfilled and underutilised in her career. Following a shocking discovery, her best friend convinces her to take a month out, to give her time to reassess her life. So she books a twenty-eight day retreat in a cute little boathouse, situated on an island, in the middle of a loch, in a remote part of Scotland. Her intention, to be as far away as humanly possible from any distractions.

The gorgeous caretaker of the island that she has escaped to however, instantly challenges that plan. Sexual sparks fly from the moment he picks her up from the airport. Yet while the mutual attraction is undeniable, he insists that nothing can ever happen between them, they can only be friends. As they spend more and more time together, is it a promise that he can keep? Can a man and a woman with sizzling chemistry really just be friends?

He wants to know Ellie's life story, but refuses to give away much about himself, not least where he disappears to for four hours every day. Ellie is intrigued by him, and becomes determined to break down his emotional walls, as well as tempt him into her bed. But when she finds out his secret, will she still want him?

31 Days of Summer, the conclusion, is due to be released on 26th December 2014.

So I was hooked in the first twenty percent of this book. The circumstances of poor Ellie's struggle to recover some control as she finds out what a sleaze her fiancé is upon returning home from work to be faced with the first of many lies despite their seemingly solid relationship. From drugs, affairs, to financial destruction. She really does find her life is a pack of lies. So when her best friend suggests some time out to "re-evaluate" she does so in Scotland, in the remotest of the remote!

From the first phone call we know there is a man. The chemistry is there from the very beginning and the next forty percent seemed to be a struggle. By no means unenjoyable. But we learn of the stubborn man (and hired help) who sees that Ellie is safe, has everything she needs (well almost everything!) and generally does the professional thing. But lines are crossed not only professionally which we expected given their flirtation. But Dan would be a handful. He holds a secret close to his heart, and being a very personal man is reluctant to share. But would this be to the detriment of their predicament?

------------------------------
"I needed to try and stay away from her, every minute I was around her my fortitude wilted, the selfish man buried deep inside me tired clawing his way out..."
------------------------------

The agony he felt he was constantly trying to battle with inwardly was apparent. But he flew between hot and cold and treated her badly on numerous occasions. During her four week stay, it did infuriate me to the extent of yelling at my kindle...get together already!

------------------------------
"I felt so comforted in his strong arms, like all the crap of my life was behind me and he’d make sure that I was looked after. That was ironic in itself, as in this moment I was sure he was the one person I knew who could hurt me the most."
------------------------------

But between the pairs two point of views, it was well written. I just struggled to get through the middle. But the last of the book had my hooked right back in again. So I'm glad I persevered. The truth of Dan's true identity would be apparent for us as readers, but leave Ellie heartbroken with a view to returning to London to start her fresh start.

A truly brilliant winter wonderland fairytale with love, lots of sex ;) and some incredible laughs throughout. The sense of humour I love C J Fallowfield for, is ever apparent and I can't wait to read the next book. So I'll leave you with this final excerpt which for me sums up their story so far...

------------------------------
"I'm going in eyes wide open. I'm leaving in two weeks and we'll never see each other again. It will be a winter affair to remember."

Helen J Barnes - The Final Note (DJ, #1)

*Contains adult themes (sexual content)
**Review by Stacey

Dayton Scott loves three things in life. Mixing music. Producing music. The club scene. He embraces the DJ lifestyle, well, except for the meaningless sex and fast women.

Alannah Matthews hasn’t got time for men. She is on the verge of qualifying as a legal secretary and, frankly, she has had enough of men talking to her chest.

Their paths cross at a house party and they whip each other into a spin. They fall deep, hard and fast. But not everyone is happy. Enter, Regina Escarra. She runs Manchester’s hottest nightclub for her father, Dayton’s boss. She has wanted Dayton for a long time and has the contacts to make or break his career.

A once in a lifetime opportunity arises for Dayton and he wants Alannah by his side. But can she leave all she loves? Will Regina finally get her wish? Can Dayton make his mark on the music industry? It all comes down to - The Final Note.
DOES CONTAIN SEXUALLY EXPLICIT SCENES

I have to say I haven't read a book before with the main theme being music/DJ'ing, but as it was also a romantic read and I loved the cover (!) I thought I'd give it a go as I'm always open to discovering new genres.

In The Final Note we meet Alannah who is just finishing studying to become a legal secretary. The story starts on a night out with Alannah and her friends ending their evening at a house party, which is where Alannah meets Dayton - I loved their introduction to each other! They both hit it off straight away but as much as Alannah is hoping, neither of them make the first move and Alannah is disappointed that she never got his number. Just as she thinks she might have met the man of her dreams, her hopes are dashed.

Unbeknownst to Alannah, Dayton feels much the same as her and they become friends on social media, then finally exchange numbers... They start hanging out and eventually the spark between them ignites. Dayton is just adorable, he's a proper gent! Just when things are going great and they have fallen deep for each other, Alannah gets the job of her dreams; so does Dayton, but there's a catch - Dayton's is hundreds of miles away in London. Alannah is heartbroken as she doesn't want to move, you can really feel her emotion and sadness. As much as Dayton doesn't want to leave without her, she makes him follow his dream and suddenly they are without each other. They are both so lost.

------------------------------
"No, Alannah! You are my fucking everything. You're my first thought in a morning, my last before I sleep. Separation from you is a physically painful, I mean, proper pain. It's like I can't breathe or think straight. I can't function without you."
------------------------------

------------------------------
"Live in the now, Lana. The past is gone, the future unknown, so just be happy now".
------------------------------

Will either of them realise what they need to do, realise their true feelings and that you can't just let go of the one you love? Well you will have to read to find out! But what I can say is that I loved the epilogue, Helen manages to steer you off track and it's not what I expected.

I loved the way this was written, it was so laid back and all of the characters are really down to earth and people you could imagine in real life. It is a story full of humour, sadness, love, great sex, and music. A great read and a firm 4 of 5 stars from me.

Kristina Canady - Scrupulous (Affliction of Falling #1)

*Contains adult themes
**Review by Susan

***This is intended for 18+ due to adult/erotic content and strong language.***

Sorcha
Some men just can’t accept that a woman can be perfectly content without them. I mean, come on; a girl can get laid anytime she wants, it’s not like it’s hard. And lord knows, I have no interest in a relationship, there is no time for that drama-filled nonsense. Pursuing my passion in life is all that I have time for. Selfish and short sighted? Perhaps, but I know what I want out of life and have no problem going after it. Life is a string of decisions, constructed and manifested by us. I own mine and don’t apologize for it either.
Gavin
Defined by my past, I hadn’t ever considered love as an option for someone like me. That is, until I spotted that sweet little brunette from across the crowded room. It was magnetic, and as much as she tried to resist, I was going to have her. Come heaven or high water, she would be mine.

Well, where do I start? Having been well and truly captured by Kristina's paranormal reads, I honestly didn't know what to expect, but this book was sheer brilliance. From the strong 21st independent and sexually liberated woman, who uses men for her sexual gratification but expects and needs no more, we learn of her true dedication to her decisions, hard work and sheer determination, to get what she wants...

------------------------------
Not every little girl grows up and wants to be a lawyer, doctor, corporate executive etc.  And those who do are allowed to change their mind once they get a taste for said professions.  I am right where I should be.
------------------------------

It's no surprise to her friends or family that she has no desire to settle down. Between her work, her home, and her artwork, she has little or no time or desire for a man in her life. Despite the protests of others. She truly is a strong, set minded woman who knows exactly what she wants, or doesn't want as the case may be ;)

------------------------------
I have no shame when it comes to my sexual needs, and it is something I will never apologise for.....Well I'm just a woman who hasn't met the right one to commit to, nor do I have any current desire to do so.
------------------------------

But on a night to a BDSM club with friends she would meet Gavin. The man who would make her world shift. The mysterious, self absorbed and arrogant, mysterious man who just reeks his pure control and power...

------------------------------
It's no secret around these parts that I am not only lusted but feared by most...However, life choices to run with the wrong crowds, no matter how long ago that was, has hardened me to an irreparable degree.
------------------------------

His reputation for control in all things sexual as well as personally is much more than FSOG...but Sorcha gives this man a run for his money. Unlike the other women who fall at his feet, she would deny him, push him, doubt him and make him feel things he never had before...

------------------------------
Gavin Durham is nothing but heart break and trouble wrapped up in one delicious package with DRAMA stamped all over it.
------------------------------

Despite the warnings of his past, from friends for being "Sought after for his discipline" and being pure Dominance, Sorcha would as usual decide her own fate. But could the woman who knew exactly what she wanted let one man change her ways?

But with the points of view being from both Sorcha and Gavin, we get to know and accept them both throughout the book. From his complete demand of Dom play both at work and home, to losing all control when he learns of his true feelings for her, and how he would give anything to be with this woman. Even if it meant "vanilla".

------------------------------
" I cannot remember the last time I gave in and made love the way we did, unrestrained, unrefined, raw.  My intent, at first, was simply sex but our undeniable chemistry overtook...it made me abandon myself, you syphoned my power and left me freed.  For the first time,  believe I may of had a taste of what submissive's feel, a rush in the release."
------------------------------

But as their sexual relationship grows and feelings too, they both question what they can and can't allow. We see Sorcha doing something she never has before and that's compromise. Lower her guard. Do something for him, because she wants to learn of his lifestyle, just like he has learnt of hers....

------------------------------
There is no role exchange or edgy play pushing me further than I am ready to go, there is only us, stripped down and open wide for one another on a level neither of us is comfortable with.  As the sun rises in the sky, I do something else I have never done, fall asleep in someone's arms, for the entire morning.
------------------------------

But would she be able to relinquish all power to him? Given how incredibly strong a character she is, I truly doubted she could, but their relationship was already so strong and meeting markers and time frames she had never exceeded with another man, I felt sure they would come to an agreement....

------------------------------
He is fast becoming friends with my crazy lot making it more impossible to come up with reasons to keep the walks up between us.  And it intensified the feeling of rightness I had with him by my side.  Gavin said he could see himself falling in love with me, something that is quite mutual.
------------------------------

But the true power of Kristina's writing was still ever apparent as with her other books, and captured not only my fictional world, but my heart. The true love story, despite fears, pressures, sexually...she really has done it again and flipped my book perspective on erotic writing...

------------------------------
Our play is not ultimately about the sex, it's about the journey into mind blowing ecstasy and providing someone with the wings to fly there, void of typical mental constraints that weigh us down.
------------------------------

She admits herself that she needs to be challenged and excited, all in order to progress, but with Gavin's poor communication skills and lack of relationship understanding, he really can come across as a self absorbed man. He does let Sorcha down, and he hurts her every which way but physically...but would they be able to make their relationship work? Given how long it took for her to accept their relationship and exclusivity...the let down on a momentous occasion for her would leave her reeling.
Would he able to fix this?

------------------------------
I believed in you, in us.  Words can't describe my state of disappointment...I do hope you find what you are looking for, find your happiness.  It breaks my heart to know that you don't respect or care enough to allow me to be a part of it...
------------------------------

A mind blowingly HOT read that will capture you both emotionally as well as physically.  Just astounding.  I can't wait for the next book already!

GG Carver - Lucky Numbers

*Contains adult themes
**Review by Susan

Lucy Eaton had a job she loved as a Teaching Assistant at a Special Needs School and a boyfriend who struggled with commitment issues. Life was good, not great, but good, until one day Lady luck paid Lucy a visit and a life that most people could only dream of opened up to her. With the creases of everyday life ironed out she could sit back and live the dream.

But what if that dream doesn't turn out to be what you thought you wanted? Want and need are two very different things. The head wants, but the heart needs, and as generous and fortuitous as life can be, it can also be incredibly cruel. No one gets to live a creaseless life. That is something Lucy will soon discover.

This was my first opportunity to read a book by GG Carver but after meeting him at the Birmingham signing in July I couldn't wait to get stuck in.

The story of Lucy, a truly selfless and caring woman who works at a Special Education school has no desire to change her lifestyle - or not to the extent of her long term partner.

But after a visit to a psychic she is left puzzled.  However a lucky win would see the pair not having to worry financially ever again.

------------------------------
On paper they had everything going for them, yet they had never been further apart.
------------------------------

Their relationship was rocky and truthfully I wanted to punch Mark a lot throughout the book...but upon a new house leads Lucy to the Dalton's. The father and son duo are a force to be reckoned with and will mould into your heart and stay there.

Lucy's attraction to Dalton Jnr - Joseph will be the story for then duration. With a little boy, Sam being thrown into the mix (through her work at school), we see Lucy and Joseph join forces for the heart wrenching journey of their struggle to help someone so in need but being unable to do so.

But in Lucy's darkest hour, Lucy has the opportunity to fix her dwindling relationship or choose an alternative avenue. But which door would she choose? Joseph has a lot of emotional baggage but as a very closed man we learn little about him initially. But will Lucy push him too far?

------------------------------
Love is no fairy-tale white knight that sweeps you off your feet. It's more like a black knight in a black steed. It will charge into your life, honouring you with its presence or smiting you with its parting...
------------------------------

Needless to say this is a brilliant story showing that money couldn't truly buy happiness. Because the heart wants what it wants. Lucy as ever goes above and beyond in my expectations in her dealing with certain circumstances throughout the story. Her immeasurable strength, character and sheer humbleness is heart capturing. I truly adored every page.

------------------------------
Each of these little incidents took another vote out of her love for him and right now it was looking pretty ravaged...Lucy's journey in life no longer seemed defined as it once was...
