Allana Walker - Breaking Free

*Contains adult themes (violence/sexual content)
**Review by Susan

Alexa Bardo always dreamt of a future, a future where she could help others, by becoming a doctor.

One mistake from a family member snatches that future away.

At the age of nineteen she was thrown into a marriage with a man she doesn't love, but has no choice but to stay. Feeling suffocated by her husband, Ash De Costa, son of the Don of The De Costa Mafia. She knows she needs to escape.

Will the help of the Devil's Reign MC help break her free?

The Devil's Reign MC are tasked with a mission, a mission that brings back memories for a couple of members.

One in particular, Tyler Cross.

While hell bent on revenge, will he get more than he bargained for?

Where do I start?  Right now I have the most hellish book hangover compliments of Allana Walker. Breaking Free has officially broken me. Rendered me a crying, bum-shaped-like-the-edge-of-my-seat, hyper-ventilating mess.

Okay, right....my review!

Alexa is one tough cookie. Not that she knows or acknowledges her strength. But between her childhood, raised by an incompetent and addicted mother, she never knew of maternal love. So, when she was sold (despite her fathers pleas!) to cover her mothers debt, you can imagine how broken she must already feel.

Well wait until you meet Aston De Costa. Wow what a sickening and twisted human this guy is. Wow I really wanted to punch him...but he played the dutiful son and De Costa to a T.

He's the perfect husband on the outside, but on the inside he's the opposite. He's a manipulator like his father.

As desperate measures are taken to get Alexa back where she belongs, he takes away so much more from her than anyone can imagine.
But Tyler...lets talk about Tyler!!! *phew it just got a little hot in here*.

...She should be with someone who will treat her like the most precious diamond there is and protect her from the likes of him. Someone who would fight to the ends of the earth to make sure she was safe.

But I don't want to give much more away. Because it's a journey you have to go on for yourself. One of extreme haunting lows, to screech inducing highs with all the surprises laid in store for you lovely readers.

I want to be your freedom, finally break those chains to your past and let me be your future.

But despite this being Allana's Debut novel, I am astounded at the emotions she spun out of me. I really wasn't expecting what I got from it and I am so incredibly pleased for her and hope you all get a chance to read this incredible story that will keep you hooked right until the very last page.

Final & favourite excerpt (because I often do it!)....human torture in the worst possible way right here:

"You know what I want to do?  I want to f*****g high five her in the face with a brick covered in spikes, dipped in poison.  I want to push her into a pool of acid, with multiple paper cuts all over her body.  You know what else she can do?  She can go walk on Lego!"
..."Lego?  That's just cruel."
