Corinne Michaels - Conviction (Salvation #4)

*Contains adult themes
**Review by Stacey

I fell in love with Liam only to be left shattered into a million pieces. Again. The idea of being without him cripples me but the reality is, he’s gone.

He doesn’t understand and I can’t make him.

If only he’d see the conviction behind my words—then Liam would still be here.

After finishing Consolation I had such a bad book hangover so it felt like ages until I was able to read this. After Consolation's cliffhanger this begins right where it finished, with Aaron's return home. We find out that he had been taken hostage and it was only because he lost a finger that he was thought to be dead.

With Aaron having fought to keep alive to get back home to his family, where does that leave Natalie & Liam? With Lee in shock and Aaron immediately discovering about their relationship, Liam decides to give the couple space for them to talk and Lee to discover who she wants - though he knows she will go back to him.

------------------------------
"There will never be a day you feel unloved by me. And if you ever should, you have permission to slap me."
------------------------------

Lee is broken, you can feel her pain. The husband she longed to come home, but no longer wants. In fact all three of them are broken as they both want Lee and will fight for her. There is a huge surprise that rocks the whole book, though I did guess it was coming, but it could change everything.

------------------------------
Sometimes you have to wade through the bad to find the good. Life isn't easy, but with Liam by my side, I know I don't have to carry it all on my own. Our love will heal us and lift us up.
------------------------------

As with Consolation, I absolutely adored this and the wait was worth the while. Such a whirlwind of emotions brought to life by Corinne's writing, it made me laugh, gasp, cry. I wanted all of them to have a happy ending (but Dreamboat is mine!) though it might not have been - you will have to read to see!

I definitely got lost in this book as Corinne completely draws you in and you really get a feel of life in the SEAL world. Another five star read!
